DR. BRANDON PRETE

Bachelor of Science – Honours, University of Saskatchewan 2010. Doctor of Optometry, University of Waterloo, 2014.

It’s where it all began for us. We (Dr. Kennedy and Dr. Prete) were in the same optometry class. Waterloo, ON (2010).

I delivered eye care on a volunteer trip in Peru. The experience was so wonderful I did the same in Romania 6 months later.

I continued my education at Nova Southeastern University then became a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry.

Canada Winter Games is a highlight of my 13-year figure skating career. Now, I volunteer in the sport as an official.

With our competitive spirit and twice as much luck, my bowling team won first in the 2018 Bowl Canada Cup National Championship.

My Partner Sasha and I love travelling around and catching up with our close friends.

Bear and Shadow, our fur-babies keep our hearts full.

DR. COURTNEY KENNEDY

Bachelor of Health Sciences (with Honours), University of Calgary 2009. Doctor of Optometry, University of Waterloo, 2014.

My ocular disease internship took me to a veteran’s hospital in New York, USA.

Spending time with family is something I like to do with my spare time and is one reason I returned to Saskatoon to set up practice.

I think my Mom is glad to have me closer to home too!

In 2020, I opened my first full-scope private practice. I’m passionate about local businesses, being a female indigenous entrepreneur myself.

Johnson & Johnson chose me as one of their Top 40 under 40 Optometrists in 2018.

My partner in crime is Gus. He and I continue to volunteer as a kitten foster home for the local humane societies and Saskatoon SPCA.

I love all things about optometry: meeting people of all ages, dry eye disease, contact lenses, and ocular pathology.

DR. KELSEY DUNHAM

Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Optometry from the University of Waterloo. I received the School of Optometry and Vision Science RACH award.

My passion for optometry led me to volunteer my services and provide optometry and medical aid in Peru in 2016.

Volunteering with mental health, wellness, and LGBTQ2+ in our community is something I hold close to my heart.

Despite many moves between cities, I remain close to my brother and sister in Alberta. We’re triplets, after all!

Don’t forget about my older brother who lives in France!

Travelling and yoga fill my time away from the office.

Lily, my sweet dog, and I also enjoy camping and spending time together.
